Miguel and Ian talk about Hollywood. "Birds of LA". 2010.
Our movie, “Birds of LA” is currently in production. We have shot scenes in Hollywood, Studio City, Salem and Portland, Oregon, Sandpoint, and Ball, Montana. We will be finished shooting in September. The movie will be finished by early spring and we are planning to have showings in Salem and Sandpoint.
I’m going to start working on a trailer for the movie next month (after I pick up a few more critical shots).
In the chance that someone is reading this besides our Mom, “Birds of LA” is essentially an improv experiment. That’s not because the Perron brothers are particularly great at improv, it’s because they refuse to memorize lines. Matt’s afraid that if he actually reads the script, he’ll lose his amateur status. *sigh*
For more information on the movie, email me at info@perronbrothers.com or check out the Birds of LA webpage. Cheers, Mike
Mike here. Pretty lucky to have a chance to play some music with my brother Marty Perron this past weekend at the Downtown Crossing in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Here he is performing “Jolene” while I honk on some borrowed harmonicas. (Thanks Branigan).
Our Sandpoint friends are at it again. Tonight at the Panida Theater in downtown Idaho is the premiere for Bound to Nowhere. Let me know how it is, I am stuck in Salem.
I received some good feedback recently regarding the perronbrothers website. This site used to look really slick but it just wasn’t very user-friendly. Actually, it was pretty hard to post to it too. It was like an eleven part process that I wont go into here.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to spending more time on content and less time on appearance.

PerronBrothers is a blog that features short films, stories, and recipes by us and other creators that we admire. The Beginning: Mike, Matt and Marty have been pranksters their whole lives. In 2007, Matt got a video camera and said to Mike, “Hey, let’s start a website and call it www.perronbrothers.com.” “Cool”, said Mike. “What [...]more →
